Languages and Literature

• Linguistic, literary and cultural studies (English, Romance and Celtic language areas) at Tübingen University

• Translation studies
• Co-translation of the German web sites of Anseros into French. Further translation activities on their behalf (correspondence, information leaflets and manuals of technical devices etc.) dealing with English, French, Portugese and, of course, German. Furthermore, production and maintenance / service activities on their products.

Bicycle

• Bicycle mechanics: Work in a bicycle shop. Acquisition of sophisticated know-how in modern bike technology. Ability to carry out almost all kinds of assembly and repair work (framebuilding excluded, of course).
• Assembly of a heavy-duty touring bicycle - which proved to be reliable for about 60 000 kilometers by now. However, it is currently suffering from material tiredom, and this is why:

  • Günzburg (Bavaria) - Brasov / Kronstadt, Romania (incl. a round trip in the Harghita mountains and the Olt valley)

  • Basel, Switzerland - Bordeaux, France
  • Weilheim/Teck (Baden-Württemberg) - Rome, Italy (via Munich, Salzburg, Villach, Florence)
  • Weilheim/Teck (Baden-Württemberg) - Bangor, Wales (and back - half a year later, after studies abroad)
